The sunlight that filters through the trees during a walk in the park, the way the soil and leaves change color in that light, and the worn benches with faded paint and exposed brick, these naturally formed and weathered scenes bring comfort and quiet reassurance to all of us.
FMH aims to express these unrefined, earthy tones and their subtle variations through design.
Our designs
FMH의 디자인은 세 가지 가치를 기반으로 탄생합니다.
기본 형태를 고수한다(basic) - 어렵고 튀는 디자인은 한눈에 마음을 사로잡을 수 있지만, 제한이 많고 여러 공간에 사용되기 어렵습니다. 모든 사람들이 쉽게 접근할 수 있고, 어느 공간에든 어울릴 수 있어야 합니다.
약간의 변주를 더한다(twist) - 베이직한 디자인을 바탕으로 하되, 자수 혹은 패치와 같은 요소로 약간의 변화를 주어 FMH만의 터치를 더합니다.
좋은 소재를 사용한다(good quality) - 국내산 면 100%와 린넨 등 자연 기반의 원단을 가장 최우선으로 사용하고, 전통적인 방식을 결합하여 원단을 생산하는 일본의 우에야마사 원단, 그리고, 유럽산 아마로 제작되는 린넨 등 내구성이 좋고 튼튼한 원단을 선택합니다.
FMH designs are built on three core values.
Basic – We stay true to simple forms. Bold and unusual designs may catch the eye at first, but they can be limiting and harder to use in different spaces. Our products should feel easy to approach and fit naturally into any setting.
Twist – Within that basic framework, we add a subtle variation. Details such as embroidery or patches bring a small change that gives each piece a distinct FMH touch.
Good Quality – We prioritize natural materials, starting with 100% Korean cotton and linen. We also select durable fabrics such as textiles from Ueyama Orimono, produced using traditional methods, as well as strong European flax linen. We carefully choose materials that are long-lasting and well made.
